Salvation is a free gift
Let me ask you the most important question you will ever be asked. "If you were to die right now, where would you spend eternity?"
There are only one of two places where we will go when we die, Heaven or Hell. Some religions teach salvation can come through other alternatives such as good works, church attendance or baptism, but God's Word is very clear on this subject. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
If you are not 100% certain that Heaven will be your Home, you can know that for sure today.
Romans 5:6-8 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth (showed or proved) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God not only loves you; He wants you to know that you can have a home in Heaven with Him.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Since Adam and Eve, the first man woman on earth, a sin nature has been present in all people. No one had to teach us how to sin; sinning comes naturally to us. The Bible teaches that our sin separates us from God.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
This means that we have all "missed the mark." We may consider ourselves "pretty good" compared to someone else, but each of us have done bad things in our lives. God is holy; He cannot allow sin into Heaven. Therefore, our own sin separates us from God.
Because we have sinned, done wrong, we deserve to be punished. Death is that punishment. A wage is what you earn for what you do. For instance, a man earns a paycheck for the work he has done. Even so, we deserve eternal death in Hell for the sins we have committed. "Death" refers to spending eternity in Hell: Revelation 21:8 ...the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all lairs, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. Just like a criminal must pay for his or her crime, a sinner must also pay for his sin.
Some people believe they can pay the price for sin by doing good works or being involved in religion. This may seem logical, but it’s not what the Bible says. In fact, the Bible specifically tells us that we can’t earn our way to Heaven through good works.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
John 3:16 clearly conveys the message of God's love. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, which means that He had God's sinless blood flowing through His veins. He lived a perfect, sinless life and then died on the cross and shed that sinless blood as the payment for our sins. The innocent Son of God died for the guilty!
Romans 6:23 ...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom.6:23 tells us, Christ offers us the gift of eternal life. This is a gift Christ paid for when He died for our sins. Through His death & resurrection, Jesus became the payment for our sin. Now we do not have to pay for our sin ourselves. By His grace, salvation is provided.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth [showed] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The ONLY way to receive eternal life is by believing on Jesus Christ alone and what He did on the cross and receiving Him as your personal Saviour.
Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
God, Himself promises that if you realize your sinful condition and confess Christ as your Saviour, trusting the payment He made for your sin and turning to Him alone to be your Saviour, He will save you.
God wants you to be with Him in Heaven. He has paid for salvation and offers it freely to you right now. You have a choice to make in your heart: to receive what He has lovingly done for you or reject it. According to the Bible, if you were to receive Jesus as your Saviour, where will you go when you die someday? The exciting answer is Heaven! But if you were to reject Jesus and never accept what He did on the Cross of Calvery, where would you spend eternity? The sobering answer is Hell.
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I'm a sinner, and I deserve to pay the penalty for my own sins. But I don't want to go to Hell when I die; I want to be with You in Heaven. I believe You died on the cross and rose again for me. Please forgive my sins and come into my heart. I accept Your gift of salvation. I believe in You and trust You alone as my Saviour to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank You, God, for your love. Amen."
The Bible plainly reaches that you can never lose your salvation. You will always be saved! If you just accepted Christ in your heart, your name was written down in Heaven, and nothing can or ever will erase it!
